Inspiration Vs. Divine Power

Just because someone is inspiring, does not mean God is the one behind the inspiration.

Someone may inspire you, but inspiring you to do or be what?

There’s many inspirational speakers; some are new age, some are Christian, some are Buddhist, and some are atheist.

As born-again followers of Christ, we should not seek to merely inspire, but rather, to transform and equip by the power of the Holy Spirit. I can inspire someone to do or say something, yet it wasn’t Christ in me doing the inspiring, but myself.

We must be very careful what we are inspiring others to do. You can “be positive” and encourage a non-believer to go after his dreams, but what if those dreams are shallow, or used to promote and advance immoral messages that cause many to sin?

What we want to do instead is first be filled with the Holy Spirit so we ourselves are inspired and empowered by Him to direct people in the right direction: toward Christ. But how do we get filled with His power?

First, we must surrender.

If there is anything we have yet to repent of, we deal with that first. We stop ignoring, we stop justifying, we stop quenching the Holy Spirit and put that sin to death like the bible commands. That could mean completely cutting off a relationship, stopping your pursuit of riches, or no longer flirting (remember how high God’s standards are: let there not be a hint of sexual immorality among you; Ephesians 5:3-5).

Once our sin(s) are repented of, we diligently seek Christ.

For the eyes of Yahweh roam throughout the earth to show Himself strong for those whose hearts are completely His. You have been foolish in this matter. Therefore, you will have wars from now on.” (‭2 Chronicles‬ ‭16‬:‭9‬ HCSB)

“Teacher, which is the great commandment in the law?” Jesus said to him, “ ‘You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ This is the first and great commandment.” (‭Matthew‬ ‭22‬:‭36-38‬ NKJV)

The Father sent His only begotten Son to earth for thirty-three years and He was brutally beaten and crucified for you. He died for you. He gave everything for you. Do you think He will be satisfied with a portion of your heart, and a religious routine? Jesus wants completely devoted followers. It’s all or nothing. You either understand and agree that He is totally worthy of your full love and dedication for all that He did for you while you were still sinning against Him, or you don’t agree with that and continue on your own path that will inevitably lead to death and destruction. There is no middle-ground. Jesus told the Laodicean church in Revelation that because they were lukewarm for Him, and not cold or hot, He was going to vomit them from His mouth. I don’t know about you, but I don’t want to be vomited from Christ’s mouth. I want to be embraced by Him, always enraptured by His love.

If you do these two things: repent and really seek to know and love Christ, you will be led and empowered by Him and will be able—by His Spirit—to inspire others to draw closer to Him.

Love and grace to you,

Natasha

Are You Ready To Meet God?

Your hand will find all Your enemies; Your right hand will find those who hate You. You shall make them as a fiery oven in the time of Your anger; The LORD shall swallow them up in His wrath, And the fire shall devour them. Their offspring You shall destroy from the earth, And their descendants from among the sons of men. For they intended evil against You; They devised a plot which they are not able to perform. Therefore You will make them turn their back; You will make ready Your arrows on Your string toward their faces. (‭Psalms‬ ‭21‬:‭8-12‬ NKJV)

Yahweh, the proven Creator of this universe, will have a face-to-face meeting with us all. We were born by His permission, into His world, and remain breathing now by His will. Like wind to a burning wick, He can blow the very life out of our hearts and we will die, only to stand before the Consuming Fire of whom we must give an account.

Are you ready for this personal encounter? Are you prepared to be judged by Him?

I tell you now, not one person on this earth can ready themselves any other way than that way which God has provided: His Son.

Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.” (‭John‬ ‭14‬:‭6‬)

Man is without excuse. There is an abundance of historical evidence that Christ indeed proved Himself to be the Son of God by His perfectly moral life, His miracles and resurrection from the dead, and the billions of lives He’s transformed since then. If anyone doubts this fact, He can merely ask the Lord to reveal the truth, and He will to those who genuinely desire Him. For though many accept that there is indeed a Creator, they reject Him in their minds and hearts, and do not desire Him to be their Father and Master. In their grave foolishness, they deem their ways better than His, and so they cling to their sin and deny God until they inevitably meet Him and face the eternal condemnation for which they brought upon themselves by denying God’s plan for forgiveness and redemption.

I don’t want you to be one of those who all their life assumed they’ll get into heaven on good merit, not realizing they’ve broken the commandments of God over and over and over and have never been truly forgiven of them because they’ve never surrendered to the One who never once broke a commandment; the only perfect One who can forgive sin since He overcame it when He walked this earth in human flesh. Jesus Christ alone is worthy of heaven. He alone has never broken God’s law, therefore when He died, He did not die for merely the worst of sinners, but the bible says He died for the entire world.

Do not trust in yourself to get you to heaven. Jesus has made the path clear: Himself. Come to Him for forgiveness and salvation. Trust in Him as your Savior and Lord, give your heart to Him, change your mind about what you believe is right and renew it by seeing what God commands in the Bible.

May you be set free from every sin and hurt and come to know the One who loved you so much He allowed Himself to be beaten, ridiculed, and pinned to a cross for your forgiveness to be made possible.

Love and grace to you,

I’m A Christian, But I’m Stuck In Sin. Help!

Many Christians are struggling with a cycle of sin because they have yet to know the truth.

Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed Him, “If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed. And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” They answered Him, “We are Abraham’s descendants, and have never been in bondage to anyone. How can You say, ‘You will be made free’?” Jesus answered them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, whoever commits sin is a slave of sin. And a slave does not abide in the house forever, but a son abides forever. Therefore if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed. (‭John‬ ‭8‬:‭31-36‬ NKJV)

Notice Jesus is clearly speaking of being free from sin.

Many, however, are biting the bait cast at them from satan, whom Jesus called “the father of lies,” who speaks nothing but lies. We forget our old self has died and we have been “born again” not of flesh, but of the Holy Spirit (John 3:6-8). In other words, Christ has made us a new creation by pouring out His very own Spirit into our hearts after we trusted our lives to Him. Therefore, as the Apostle Paul said, it is no longer we who live, but Christ lives in us.

What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin that grace may abound? Certainly not! How shall we who died to sin live any longer in it? Or do you not know that as many of us as were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into His death? Therefore we were buried with Him through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. For if we have been united together in the likeness of His death, certainly we also shall be in the likeness of His resurrection, knowing this, that our old man was crucified with Him, that the body of sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves of sin. For he who has died has been freed from sin. Now if we died with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with Him, knowing that Christ, having been raised from the dead, dies no more. Death no longer has dominion over Him. For the death that He died, He died to sin once for all; but the life that He lives, He lives to God. Likewise you also, reckon yourselves to be dead indeed to sin, but alive to God in Christ Jesus our Lord. (‭Romans‬ ‭6‬:‭1-11‬ NKJV)

There is no denying that this incredibly freeing passage is telling us we have died to sin and therefore are no longer slaves to it. It even affirms that we have been freed from it (verse 7). It’s not an elusive promise. This is practical and is speaking of the now, of every Christian’s current state in Christ. He is not speaking of when we resurrect; he’s using past tense verbiage to show we have already died to sin. That promise has been fulfilled. But in order to live it out, we must believe it. And in order to believe it, we must first win the battle in our minds:

I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God. (‭Romans‬ ‭12‬:‭1-2‬ NKJV)

For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ… (‭II Corinthians‬ ‭10‬:‭4-5‬ NKJV)

We can only be transformed if we first renew our minds. But notice from 2 Corinthians that it’s a battle. We have to bring every thought captive to the obedience of Christ. So when the devil tells us we want to watch porn, we slice that lie in half with the truth, just like Jesus used truth to fight the devil on the mountain. We say, out loud, “Get behind me, Satan, for Christ has made me a new creation (2 Corinthians 5:17). My old lustful self has died (Romans 6:2). I’ve crucified those passions to His cross (Galatians 5:24). It is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me (Galatians 2:20).”

We need to know the Scriptures, for we aren’t battling flesh and blood. The bible says in Romans 6:6 that the body of sin has been done away with. Now we are waging war in the spirit. Jesus told His disciples the devil is subject to us (Luke 10:19-20). But Jesus did warn us to be careful that we aren’t deceived. Satan is crafty, the best liar there is. If we don’t know the truth, how in the world can we fight off his lies?

Too many are falling—and many to their spiritual demise—because they’re distracted by school, or work, or a relationship, and though they may pump iron at the gym, they are not training themselves spiritually.

If you are struggling with the lies of lust, don’t ignore them. Fight them! Renew your mind! Memorize Scripture that speaks against those lies. Your victory has been given to you by what Christ did 2,000 years ago, but you must receive it! Christ isn’t about raising up lazy children. He tests the heart. Do you really want to overcome sin and follow Me? Then pick up your sword and fight. That’s real faith; it’s active, it participates, it’s diligent. And only those who show such heart overcome.

So who will you be? The soldier that’s so wounded he falls to the ground and gets trampled by the enemy, or the soldier who is fighting valiantly, shredding his foes to pieces through faith by the power of the Holy Spirit?

As always, the choice is yours.

His divine power has given us everything required for life and godliness through the knowledge of Him who called us by His own glory and goodness. By these He has given us very great and precious promises, so that through them you may share in the divine nature, escaping the corruption that is in the world because of evil desires. For this very reason, make every effort to supplement your faith with goodness, goodness with knowledge, knowledge with self-control, self-control with endurance, endurance with godliness, godliness with brotherly affection, and brotherly affection with love. For if these qualities are yours and are increasing, they will keep you from being useless or unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ … Therefore, brothers, make every effort to confirm your calling and election, because if you do these things you will never stumble. For in this way, entry into the eternal kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ will be richly supplied to you. (‭2 Peter‬ ‭1‬:‭3-8, 10-11‬ HCSB)

For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light (for the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness, righteousness, and truth), finding out what is acceptable to the Lord. (‭Ephesians‬ ‭5‬:‭8-10‬ NKJV)

Don’t Give Up On What You Know God Has Called You To Do

My writing ministry had me growing weary. I’ve been working on this YA fantasy novel for around four years now, and I just want it to be published already.

I was planning on self-publishing via eBook and raising the funds through Indie Gogo. However, after a sister in Christ challenged me—”Did God tell you to self-publish at this exact time”—I prayed. I sought more counsel and realized I should keep trying to get traditionally published.

At first I was discouraged. I cried, just wanting this book off my hands already, but then I prayed and began to worship. Within no more than ten minutes, God had encouraged me, and I was fine. Mind you, when I worshiped, I wasn’t, “feeling it.” I was still hurt, but I denied myself, denied my emotions, and chose to praise and thank God despite; out of obedience to His Word which commands us to give thanks in all circumstances.

When you repent—change your mind and agree with God—despite your circumstances and feelings, the Holy Spirit does a work in you and causes you to walk like His Son. I didn’t change my attitude, God through the Holy Spirit did, for the Word tells us, “It is God who works in you both to will and do for His good pleasure.”

When we choose to give God thanks, even when we don’t feel like it, our focus shifts from our problems to our problem solver, and He changes us by His grace.

This morning, I happened to read this:

For God is not unjust to forget your work and labor of love which you have shown toward His name, in that you have ministered to the saints, and do minister. And we desire that each one of you show the same diligence to the full assurance of hope until the end, that you do not become sluggish, but imitate those who through faith and patience inherit the promises. (‭Hebrews‬ ‭6‬:‭10-12‬ NKJV)

Yet again, our great Savior encouraged me. I won’t give up on this book. I’ve dedicated it to Him for His glory and purposes. I believe He will use it.

Don’t give up either. Whatever you commit to the Lord for His good usage is not a labor of vanity. As long as you work diligently and as excellently as you can, knowing you’re serving the Lord, He will bless and use your efforts far beyond what you can ask, think, or imagine.

Keep fighting on. Our battle isn’t against flesh and blood, and in Christ we are more than conquerors.

Grace to you,

Natasha

Why Should I Love Jesus Christ?

What did Christ really do for us?

1.) He left heaven and came to earth

In heaven, hundreds of thousands of angels worshiped Jesus. He stood among them in complete and glorious splendor. But even more wonderful than all of that, He lived with the Father Himself; He saw, walked, and talked with the Creator, the Perfectly Good One. He had everything He needed in heaven, yet He left it for not a day, not a few months, but thirty-three years.

Not only did He leave this wonderful home with the Father, He traded it for a horrendous one; one where corruption, hate, murder, adultery, paganism, idolatry, and violence ran rampant. A home where from birth, His life would be hunted. He dwelt among the poor and lived as though He was poor—for us.

2.) He loved us

Jesus laid hands on the untouchables and outcasts; lepers, the blind, the lame, adulteresses, tax collectors, and He healed them.

He taught us what following God really looks like. He revealed to us the very character, the very heart of God. Instead of demanding to be served, He served and gave up His life—for us.

3.) He suffered the reproach of the cross

Christ was fully aware that He would be beaten, ridiculed, rejected, arrested, and eventually crucified yet He did not forsake God’s plan, but embraced it—for us.

4.) He defeated sin and death

Not only did Jesus make a way for forgiveness through His perfect life and sacrifice, opening the gates of heaven for all who wish to enter through Him, but He also conquered sin and death—the very power of Satan that kept the human race bound since the days of Adam and Eve. Before Christ died, we were helpless to sin’s control over our life, and victims of mortality. But through His willing sacrifice and resurrection from the grave, Christ frees all those who trust in Him from the devil’s works. Jesus brought deliverance, both now and eternally—for us.

5.) He gives us everything we need in the midst of this dark world

Peace:

Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. (‭John‬ ‭14‬:‭27‬ NKJV)

Joy:

These things I have spoken to you, that My joy may remain in you, and that your joy may be full. (‭John‬ ‭15‬:‭11‬ NKJV)

Hope:

This hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and steadfast … (Hebrews‬ ‭6‬:‭19‬ NKJV)

Companionship:

I am with you always, even to the end of the age. (‭Matthew‬ ‭28‬:‭20‬ NKJV)

6.) He rewards us

As if all the fore-mentioned wasn’t enough, Jesus offers us heavenly rewards, gifts that never perish, treasures that never rust. He promises a crown, the right to drink from living waters in heaven, and healing fruit to eat; gates of pearls, and streets of gold to walk upon.

There’s so much Jesus Christ has done for us. Do we love Him with all our heart? Are we thankful to Him every day? Do we really understand how worthy He is, and thus live for His glory?

May you and I both grasp the depth of Christ’s love and how worthy He is of our complete devotion. This is what life is about for the Christian—loving Christ for who He is and what He’s done.

Whatever’s Got You Down, This Should Lift You Up

Two nights ago, I fellowshipped with four brethren in Christ at Publix. First with the cashier, who was from Trinidad. She walked around the counter and gave me a hug. It was a beautiful exchange of loving encouragement. Then, as I’m walking out, another Publix worker starts saying, “Hallelujah, hallelujah,” and cheering me on (I presume he witnessed me and the cashier’s exchange and I was proclaiming how I hoped all came to know that Christ is Lord and they need Him to go to heaven.” So I asked him, “Are you a Christian,” he said, “Oh yes I am.” He was from India. So we fellowshipped briefly, and I continue outside. As I’m waiting for hubby, I begin singing, “Blessed be the name of the Lord.” Yet another, young Publix worker approaches, riding one of those automatic carts for the disabled, and we begin to fellowship. He was of Latin descent. Then lastly, he drives away, and a gentleman walks out of the Publix. I just felt compelled to bless him so I do, “God bless you.” He returns the blessing and continues to his car. Hubby comes out and we head to our car, only to discover the man I just blessed happened to park right next to us. After putting his groceries away, he comes around and says, “You know lots of times people bless, but it’s just like they say it to say it, but you sounded like you really meant it.” So then we fellowship. He’s a Christian Haitian. I was so encouraged by all of my family in Christ and so blessed by the instant love and encouragement pouring from our hearts and kindred spirits in Christ. It reminded me of heaven, when Revelation says there’s a multitude from every nation before the throne of God, praising Him.

To be honest, I was briefly discouraged about finances as I came to the cashier, but I decided to preach the gospel and that’s when I discovered the cashier was already saved and she actually was blessed by my boldness and needed that encouragement, telling me how she was down all day because her mother has Alzheimer disease. And I just left Publix so filled with joy. I was reminded by God that this life is not about being able to afford all the food you want and being free from money concerns. It’s about expanding the kingdom of God and loving your brothers and sisters in Christ, and seeking to encourage them. All of this is so temporary. I can die tomorrow and be free from all my financial concerns. I live for the afterlife, for heaven, my true home, where I’ll be eternally set. If I’m [American] poor all my life here, so be it. It’s but a moment in light of eternity.

So my dear beloved brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus the Lord, I encourage you today to keep your mind on heavenly things, not on things of the earth. These temporary afflictions are nothing but fleeting shadows, and they even produce in us the perseverance we need in order to continue walking with Christ.

This world is getting darker, but by God’s grace we have the light of Christ. Though money may disappear on bills, family or friends may forsake us, and a job may be lost, God will never leave us. He is our ever-present help in time of need and in time of security. Christ loves us and suffered poverty, He had no home, He suffered persecution; the very ones He created hated Him, He suffered physical abuse and ultimately an agonizing death.

He’s been through everything you’re going through yet never sinned. He is thus able to empathize with you and strengthen you. And though it is contrary to the fleshly mind, the mindset of the world, we are blessed to suffer for our Lord. He chastens only those who are indeed His children, and He counts us worthy to share in His suffering that we too may experience the closeness and dependency He experienced on the Father and share in His holiness. Then we’ll get the true riches found in heaven, incorruptible and everlasting.

But our greatest reward is being able to see the Father and Christ face-to-face, the one who gave up everything for us. To have His precious, scarred hands wipe our tears away and to have Him be our loving and caring King eternal. We will never again suffer lack or feel pain. Our bodies will be glorious and immortal like Christ’s. O, the riches and the glory that await those of us who endure the trials and tribulations of this life and cling to our blessed Savior. We have nothing to fear, for Christ has given us everything we need and more. I love you family.

“Strengthen the weak hands, And make firm the feeble knees. Say to those who are fearful-hearted, “Be strong, do not fear! Behold, your God will come with vengeance, With the recompense of God; He will come and save you.” Then the eyes of the blind shall be opened, And the ears of the deaf shall be unstopped. Then the lame shall leap like a deer, And the tongue of the dumb sing. For waters shall burst forth in the wilderness, And streams in the desert. The parched ground shall become a pool, And the thirsty land springs of water; In the habitation of jackals, where each lay, There shall be grass with reeds and rushes. A highway shall be there, and a road, And it shall be called the Highway of Holiness. The unclean shall not pass over it, But it shall be for others. Whoever walks the road, although a fool, Shall not go astray. No lion shall be there, Nor shall any ravenous beast go up on it; It shall not be found there. But the redeemed shall walk there, And the ransomed of the LORD shall return, And come to Zion with singing, With everlasting joy on their heads. They shall obtain joy and gladness, And sorrow and sighing shall flee away.” (‭Isaiah‬ ‭35‬:‭3-10‬ NKJV)

Why Christianity Is Our Only Hope For True Peace

None will harm or destroy another on My entire holy mountain, for the land will be as full of the knowledge of the Lord as the sea is filled with water. (‭Isaiah‬ ‭11‬:‭9‬ HCSB)

All the chaos, murder, hatred, slavery, racism, rape, and violence in the world can be attributed to this one fact: a lack of knowledge of the One True God: The God and Father of Jesus Christ the Lord, who Himself is God in the flesh. When people do not know Him intimately, meaning, they do not follow Him as Master of their life, they are a slave to their own desires. And those desires are always rooted in evil; greed, lust, fame, hate, selfishness. When a person has yet to recognize they have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God by lying, stealing, hating, lusting, envying, using His name in place of a cuss word (blaspheming), and thus, do not recognize their great need for forgiveness and salvation from themselves, for God promises to judge all for their works; and when they fail to realize forgiveness is found alone in the Perfect Person, God Himself in the flesh, Jesus Christ, who never sinned and therefore never fell short of God’s glory, by their ignorance or willful disobedience, they reject Christ’s perfect sacrifice of Himself on a cross and they continue living out their destructive desires.

Christ came into the world to save sinners. What that means is, He lived perfectly, never once offending or rebelling against God, and then died on the cross in our place (the bible says God’s wrath for mankind was poured out on His Son on that wooden stake). Christ then rose from the dead three days later to prove He has power over death and can thus offer everyone who trusts/follows Him eternal life and forgiveness. But that’s not all Christ’s death accomplished. After He died and rose, He sent His own Holy Spirit to live in the hearts of those who trust in Him, that they may become transformed children of God who are no longer slaves to their old sinful nature, but are now able by the power of the Holy Spirit to live godly and honorable lives before God, a life fully pleasing to Him that impacts others to give their life to God, and a life that is able to experience and share God’s incredible love to all who need it and want it.

Their mission is no longer to receive attention and affection from a guy, to be wanted by many, because they know Christ, the greatest being of all wants them and died for them.

They no longer live to become rich, because their life is now enriched with love, hope, peace, compassion, and the power to save souls through Christ’s gospel (literally). And they know this earthly life is temporary, but they have an eternal life where streets of gold, and a crown awaits them.

They don’t live to be smarter than the next guy, because they’ve now obtained the knowledge and understanding of God and there is no higher form of perception. They are mind-blown and continue to be as they grow in their knowledge of Christ and His love and the true purpose of human existence.

They no longer believe they’re more superior than another human being because their skin color is lighter, because they know we all came from the same two humans and more importantly, we’re all created in the image of God Himself and He knew us all before we were born and had His Son die for the whole world, not just a certain ethnicity.

This is what the True God does in the hearts of those who know Him. And if everyone laid down their foolish pride that is leading them to destruction and the destruction of others either physically, mentally or emotionally (or all three), and surrendered to Jesus Christ as Lord, then and only then will true peace reign, and love saturate the earth.

But as it is written, not everyone will surrender to Christ. They will believe they know better than the God who made them, and thus continue following their own ways, hurting themselves and others. In the end, they will be destroyed by eternal fire for God offered them a clear path to forgiveness in a radical display of love and sacrifice yet they persisted in rejecting it. They seal their own fate and as they go down, they drag many with them.

Then after they stand in defiance to Christ one last time, only to fall to Him, this earth will be made new. All those who loved their wickedness will be cast away, and all those who loved/obeyed Christ and thus truly loved others will reign with Him in this new gorgeous city, the New Jerusalem, where streets are paved of gold, gates are hewn of pearl, walls are embedded with several precious stones, and all pain and death is done with.

That’s the peaceful city I look forward to and it will inevitably come. And as bible prophecies rapidly unfold, the Day draws all the nearer. I believe my generation and the next will be alive to see it.

So, I leave you with this: the bible says there’s no middle ground, you are either sons of Satan or sons of God. Whose side are you on?

Everyone Needs To Know This, Or They’ll Die

How tragic that so many pastors stand before thousands and do not tell them the need for grace, but only tell them about grace.

My generation needs salvation, not a pep talk.

We need someone to be real with us.

Tell us no, God hates sin. He hates premarital sex. He hates lying. He hates stealing. He hates homosexuality. He hates it so much He sent His only perfect Son to be brutally beaten and crucified for sin so we who give up those things and turn to God can be cleansed and forgiven by the precious blood of Jesus.

That is the grace of God! He sees our evil, our dirtiness, and He deals with it. He sacrifices Himself upon a rugged cross and says, “Follow me, for my yoke is easy and my burden is light. I will heal you. I will give you power over satan and the sin that has enslaved you. I will wash you and make you my child.”

Praise God He paid the price for our wickedness. Praise God He gives those who repent His Holy Spirit so they can be made whole and live a joy-filled, God-honoring life.

This is the gospel. This is grace. This is true, unfailing love.

Do you have it? Do you know Jesus?

If you want to be made new, if you want to start over, and if you want to be saved from hell, all you need is Christ and His Spirit. If you confess that Jesus is Lord, and trust in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved from both sin and death, and receive eternal life. God’s Holy Spirit will come into your heart and make it clean. He will empower you and give you everything you’ve ever needed and more. How do I know this? Because He did it for me, He did it for my husband, my sister, and so many others I know. None of us are who we used to be. We’ve been made new. We know God loves us and has empowered us to defeat sin and eventually be with Him in heaven for ever. I pray you also embrace Christ and all He died to give you.

Call To Arms: The Rapture Is NOT Happening

There is absolutely no *hint* of a rapture in this entire passage where Jesus discusses the end of this world.

“And Jesus answered and said to them: “Take heed that no one deceives you. For many will come in My name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and will deceive many. And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not troubled; for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in various places. All these are the beginning of sorrows. “Then they will deliver you up to tribulation and kill you, and you will be hated by all nations for My name’s sake. And then many will be offended, will betray one another, and will hate one another. Then many false prophets will rise up and deceive many. And because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold. But he who endures to the end shall be saved. And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come.” (Matthew 24:4-14 NKJV)

He even continues this discourse, and immediately says we will see anti-christ flaunting himself as God, affirming that we indeed will be here for when he takes his good-guy mask off and begins his tyranny. Again, no mention of a rapture yet:

“Therefore when you see the ‘abomination of desolation,’ spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place” (whoever reads, let him understand), “then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains. Let him who is on the housetop not go down to take anything out of his house. And let him who is in the field not go back to get his clothes. But woe to those who are pregnant and to those who are nursing babies in those days! And pray that your flight may not be in winter or on the Sabbath. For then there will be great tribulation, such as has not been since the beginning of the world until this time, no, nor ever shall be. And unless those days were shortened, no flesh would be saved; but for the elect’s sake those days will be shortened. “Then if anyone says to you, ‘Look, here is the Christ!’ or ‘There!’ do not believe it. For false christs and false prophets will rise and show great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect. See, I have told you beforehand. “Therefore if they say to you, ‘Look, He is in the desert!’ do not go out; or ‘Look, He is in the inner rooms!’ do not believe it. For as the lightning comes from the east and flashes to the west, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be. For wherever the carcass is, there the eagles will be gathered together.” (Matthew 24:15-28 NKJV)

Still no mentioning of His return and gathering up all of His people into the clouds, off the earth and transporting them to heaven. Not a word on this phenomenon yet. But, let’s keep reading His sermon, for He isn’t finished:

“Immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light; the stars will fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken. Then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in heaven, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. And He will send His angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they will gather together His elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.” (Matthew 24:29-31)

Ah, there it is; immediately after the tribulation of those days just described. So, in the very end, after chaos has reigned, and anti-christ has wreaked havoc on the church, then Christ comes on the clouds and gathers His people to Himself.

The doctrine of the rapture is a lie, and one that I am afraid too many put their hope in. Rather in hoping in the resurrection at the last day (John 6:39, 40, 44, 54), people are hoping in a very early escape, a secret rapture, where Christ doesn’t reveal Himself for all the world to see, but just vaporizes His people and they appear in heaven and no one knows where they went or who took them.

This is pure fantasy. It is not biblical, and I’m afraid it helps many in the church to be unprepared for the great tribulation that will fall upon her and truly test her faith in dreadful fire. What will happen to the faith of those who are so trusting in this pre-tribulation rapture when anti-christ enacts laws that prevents them from buying food unless they worship him? What will happen if they have to face beheading for following Christ? Will they renounce their faith because God disappointed them for not coming when they believed He would? Would they be able to suffer such hardships, or desire comfort and quick relief from their pain and just accept the mark of the beast?

If pastors were preaching the truth, the church would be more equipped. But instead, they choose to deceive themselves and the people for what?Money? Fame? Acceptance? Accolade?

I fear for those believing such blatantly unbiblical lies because they are just waiting to be snatched up and aren’t praying and preparing for a faith that won’t falter even in the midst of abuse and impending death. Instead of praying, “Lord in Jesus’ name please help me endure until the end, like You say, that those who persevere will receive the crown of life. Help me withstand the enemy in the face of every persecution and trial that is coming. Help me always trust You and to never deny You.”

Instead of praying that, they’re praying, “Lord come and take me away so I don’t have to go through all that.”

And God is saying, “No. I told you when I would come for you. Therefore, be strong. Hold fast to your faith, for an hour of great testing is going to befall you to show if you are really Mine.”

Then a third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, “If anyone worships the beast and his image, and receives his mark on his forehead or on his hand, he himself shall also drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out full strength into the cup of His indignation. He shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels and in the presence of the Lamb. And the smoke of their torment ascends forever and ever; and they have no rest day or night, who worship the beast and his image, and whoever receives the mark of his name.” Here is the patience of the saints; here are those who keep the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus. Then I heard a voice from heaven saying to me, “Write: ‘Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now on.’ ” “Yes,” says the Spirit, “that they may rest from their labors, and their works follow them.” Then I looked, and behold, a white cloud, and on the cloud sat One like the Son of Man, having on His head a golden crown, and in His hand a sharp sickle. And another angel came out of the temple, crying with a loud voice to Him who sat on the cloud, “Thrust in Your sickle and reap, for the time has come for You to reap, for the harvest of the earth is ripe.” So He who sat on the cloud thrust in His sickle on the earth, and the earth was reaped. (Revelation 14:9-16 NKJV)

He answered and said to them: “He who sows the good seed is the Son of Man. The field is the world, the good seeds are the sons of the kingdom, but the tares are the sons of the wicked one. The enemy who sowed them is the devil, the harvest is the end of the age, and the reapers are the angels. Therefore as the tares are gathered and burned in the fire, so it will be at the end of this age. The Son of Man will send out His angels, and they will gather out of His kingdom all things that offend, and those who practice lawlessness, and will cast them into the furnace of fire. There will be wailing and gnashing of teeth. Then the righteous will shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. He who has ears to hear, let him hear! (Matthew 13:37-43 NKJV)
